Career validation
Middle East airline pathway
Chinese pilots should validate the career path before choosing FAA conversion, FAA ATP CTP, or a type rating. The right order depends on target region, aircraft, total time, recent experience, English, and budget.
What to evaluate
- Review whether your total time, multi-crew time, turbine time, and English level match common airline screening expectations.
- Understand how type rating experience, recurrent training history, and recent line flying may affect competitiveness.
- Separate career research from training purchases so expensive programs are tied to a realistic pathway.
Where training fits
Training is not the starting point. Once the pathway is credible, training decisions can be mapped to the next constraint: FAA ATP, ATP CTP, A320 or B737 type rating, business jet type rating, recurrent training, or provider comparison.
