Why We Started This Advisory

International pilots often face expensive decisions before the pathway is clear.

Many pilots begin by contacting a school, comparing training prices, booking travel, or asking about simulator programs before they fully understand how their current license, ratings, medical status, country of issue, TSA/FTSP timing, and career goals fit together.

A wrong assumption can create delays, unnecessary travel, mismatched training, document problems, or provider conversations that do not answer the pilot's real question: what is the correct pathway for my background and goal?

We created this advisory to help pilots make better decisions before they spend.

FAAForeignPilot.com was created to give international pilots a structured way to understand the U.S. aviation pathway before committing money to training, simulator sessions, travel, medical appointments, document processing, or provider deposits.

The purpose is not to sell a standardized course. The purpose is to help each pilot understand the likely sequence, missing information, risk areas, and next decision that deserves professional review.

Why independent advisory matters

We intentionally remain independent from flight schools and training providers. That means the advisory is not built around filling a training seat or pushing one provider's program.

Independent guidance helps pilots compare options more clearly, ask better questions, avoid rushing into the wrong sequence, and decide whether FAA conversion, simulator planning, type-rating research, or career strategy should come first.

The advisory is based on practical aviation experience and a clear understanding of how confusing the FAA pathway can be for pilots coming from other aviation authorities. The mission is to help pilots make informed decisions, not to imply FAA affiliation or guarantee official outcomes.

What we do and do not do

We do not represent the FAA, TSA/FTSP, any civil aviation authority, training center, DPE, airline, employer, or aircraft manufacturer. Information submitted for assessment is used to prepare a personalized recommendation and follow-up options. Sensitive documents should only be shared when requested for advisory review. We may use Meta Pixel or similar analytics tools to understand website activity and improve advertising performance.
